Normal Butyl acetate is a colourless, flammable liquid that has a sweet, fruity odour. It is a type of ester, a chemical compound made from reacting an alcohol with a carboxylic acid. Butyl acetate is used in a variety of industries and applications due to its solubility, fast-evaporating nature, and characteristic fruity odour. It is an effective solvent for coatings, adhesives, printing inks, fragrances, flavours, and chemical intermediates. As an adhesive butyl acetate is also used as a solvent in the production of adhesives such as acrylic and vinyl adhesives. It dissolves and mixes adhesive components, improves bonding strength, and provides flexibility and durability to the adhesive.
